Inspiration to Throw Some Green Into Your Tie Rotation – Tips on How to Best Wear Green Ties
When color corporation Pantone announced Emerald green as their color of the year in early December, we knew that greens in general are going to be huge in 2013. Our tie designers as well were inspired by this unique shade, and quickly went to work to create one of the most unique 2013 tie collections we have seen in quite while.
Certainly, most designers created a few Emerald colored ties, but they didn't stop there. Greens in general got a huge make-over. Tie designer Puccini for instance added 2 dozen new green hues to their spring and summer collection alone, and we expect to see even more shades for their fall/winter collection that is already in the works. Besides emerald, greens like cypress, mint, aqua, willow, fern, and sage were added in a wide range of different designs. Because green ties are such a popular accessory in men's fashion for 2013, we thought it would be about time to give you some inspiration on how to wear them. Below are several of our favorite looks for green ties. Want to see more examples? Then check out our new Pinterest Board on Green Ties.

Everyday Spring & Summer Looks for Green Ties
Above are four great examples for green ties incorporated into everyday spring and summer looks. The top picture shows a repp striped tie in kelly green and yellow paired with a light blue gingham check shirt and fitted blue suit. Note the "belt-less" look that is perfect for straight cut pants and modern cut suits. The two pictures below show you how to wear a knitted silk tie (one typical for fall and winter) during the spring and summer season. The window-pane check suit adds a bold contrast to the unique fabric texture of the kelly green knit tie. Finally we wanted to show you a more formal everyday look with the bottom picture. The sage green tie is paired with a classic navy suit and white shirt. Note the playful floral print pocket square in white, matching sage green, and fresh yellow. Our Favorite Fall & Winter Outfits for Green Ties
These four looks will make you the most stylish man in town. The top picture is something we would expect the "most interesting man in the world" to be wearing. The polka dot tasseled scarf paired with blue suit and cornflower blue knit tie is a must-feature look. The two images below show two different ways to wear a forrest green tie. We love the look of strong herringbone texture paired with a more delicate weave of the pin dot textured tie (left). The right image is a bit more young and trendy paring a flat tipped tie made from worsted wool with an autumn brown sports coat. The last picture happens to be also one of our favorites in this series. The harris tweed jacket and matching vest is paired with a classic British regimental tie, light blue cotton twill shirt, and a complimenting pocket square in white with tie's matching green boarder.
